i think i love you! i am a professional groomer and i have just begun volunteering my 'grooming talent' at the las vegas lied shelter once a week. i only work with the dogs, as that is where my training lies, and i, unfortunately, avoid the cat room... simply because my passion for cats runs so deep that i am forced to sit and sob for them for hours every time i visit. so i sexy-up dogs on my day off, for free, and try to give toys and treats (Liv-a-Littles!) to those volunteering in cat adoptions whenever i can...
Lovely pictures--they must have been memorable characters to be sure. "Lucky" is absolutely beautiful.
I know I'm way behind on responding, but I think I can answer the first question for Debe. No, these cats were not adopted. They are cats that unfortunately had to be euthanized for medical reasons. It is something that is emotionally taxing for all staff members, as we've "blogged" about in the past.
I have adopted a Cat from TriValley just recently (December) I would love to post his picture. How do I do this?
Wow! Your shelter is so awesome. I've visited a few times and all the animals look so comfortable, even without owners. This is an awesome blog. I've got one, too. It's www.sophieisgreen.blogspot.com.
