Welcome to Shelter Life at the East Bay Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

We began as the Oakland SPCA in 1874. Today, the East Bay SPCA includes two animal shelters and three clinics in our community.

This is our day.

Just a quick update:
443 days that Sugarfoot was in the care of the East Bay SPCA. And now she's been adopted! Hooray!

Also today, Josef, Julia, and Taylor were adopted, cats that have not been here that long. Not a bad day!

I'm glad that she was adopted! Good luck to her new family.

I'm not sure who is shelter cat in Oakland now. Sebastian actually has been in the Tri-Valley offices for a while. We put Sugarfoot back into the habitats to try to get her more exposure again.

We currently don't have an official shelter kitty in Oakland, but we have a few "contestants," if you will! Hopefully soon, though.
