We began as the Oakland SPCA in 1874. Today, the East Bay SPCA includes two animal shelters and three clinics in our community.

I think I like Rod Guiler the best.

I can never remember how to spell certain dog breeds. Apparently, I am not the only one. The following are breeds as they were documented by the clients on clinic registration forms.

I think I like Rod Guiler the best.

Haha!!! "Pet Bull" and "Girman Heaper". They're all SOOOO funny!!

But one saddening thing I saw was an add at a pet shop that said "purebred Chiwuawua puppies for sale". :( They can't even spell the breed that they're breeding!

A friend of mine playfully calls Pit Bulls, "Pibbles!" (Always with the exclamation point.)

My father refers to shelter dogs as "the son of a North American Fence Jumper."

When people say "Pet Bull," like my mother does, I get so irritated. Really, who has a bull for a pet, other than farmers? =)
